How to clone a warship
An expert says a fleet of Australian ships could be the first to go into battle with the aim of destroying a rival war vessel in an epic naval clash.
A war-game simulation is also being created to see who can be the “biggest loser” in the war.
A team of more than 30 warships will be set to fight in a battle against rival US Navy warships.
The team will use a “mini warship” in a simulation to see how the battle will play out.
It is a far cry from the Cold War era where the United States and the Soviet Union fought wars in space and on the sea.
But the simulation will show how much the two nations could differ in terms of technology, firepower and tactics.
This year, Australia is in the process of launching a new class of warships, the new class is being designed to be bigger, more capable and have better air defences, and the US Navy is also looking to develop a similar system.
Australia is now one of three nations that have developed a space warfare simulation that has been used in space by other countries.
US President Donald Trump has been a strong critic of China and has repeatedly called on Beijing to stop using its space technology to interfere with American satellites.
China, however, has responded to Mr Trump’s comments by saying it would use its space capabilities to “protect the rights of the people of our country”.
China’s state media has criticised the US space program.
The Australian Defence Force has also said it will build an anti-satellite missile system for the navy.
